We will like to thank the Richmond Times Dispatch, Channel 8 and Channel 6 News for reaching out to us regarding possible rebranding since the Washington Redskins have announced that they are changing their names. Please check out our gofundme page. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
The RVA Skins is a local youth football and cheer organization that has been around since 2017. We are not only known locally but nationally. We aim to assist youth in learning the fundamentals of football/cheer which ultimately teaches them many life lessons on and off the field. We chose the Skins name due to the Washington Redskins training in the Richmond area. With the announcement of their name change, this has led us to have to rebrand as well. Being a small nonprofit organization who is solely funded by fees, donations and sponsorships, rebranding will add additional expenses such as new logo, website design, marketing materials, uniforms, equipment, and basically anything that has our current name will need to repurchased. We are asking for assistance with assisting us to rebrand. All donations will receive a receipt for your tax records. Thank you. https://gf.me/u/yqhqvy Our 10U team had an Outstanding 2019 Fall Season ending the season as the Undefeated E2E Champions. Our 10U team started out the season with the hardest preseason games that you can find around the country. Our 10U battled versus the AYF National Runner Ups, UYF National Champions and VAYFC Conference Champs. Our 10U seek such hard preseason games so that they could bond, gel and become battle tested for there Regular Season and Playoff Run.
Our 10U dominated the Regular Season by going Undefeated, scoring over 250 points and only given up 12 points in 8 games. They earned the #1 seed in the playoffs and ultimately won the E2E Championship. With the Championship Win, our 10u punched their ticket to the Snoop Dogg National Championships in Los Angeles, CA. Our Corporate Sponsor DTLR made sure the boys and coaches left RVA in style by gifting them with customized team sweatsuits which had their name and number on the back. Our boys played their hearts out in CA and ended up 4th in the tournament with 1 win and 1 loss. While out in CA the boys toured USC, checked out the Staples Center and went to Santa Monica Beach. Lifetime Memories was made because of this trip. Huge thank you to our League E2E for making the trip an unforgettable one. Great Season Our 9U team had a very good season with 9 wins and 2 losses. Our 9U team started the season off by playing in the Preseason Youth National Championships powered by Battle. In the preseason tournament our team won both games and put us at 2-0 to start the season.
Our 9U team played in the UYFL this year and played 4 games versus the 10U division in which all of those games our 9U won by multiple touchdowns. The 9U team cruised thru the regular season by winning all of their league games and losing 1 non league game and received the #1 seed heading into the playoffs. Our 9U team was off 5 weeks until the Championship Game, where they ran into rival VA Vipers who was red hot and had been playing throughout the playoffs. Our 9U team fell in the Championship Game and ended the season as State Runner-Ups. Not the outcome we expected, however they will work extremely hard in the offseason to try to become Champions AGAIN. Our 9U had their End of Season Banquet at Dave n Buster's where they enjoyed Food, Trophy Presentation and Unlimited Games. Our 9U team will move up to 10U Next Season and is looking to capture another Championship Our 6U team led by Coach D (Dajon Austin) finished the 2019 Fall Season as E2E Champions. The group of 14 kids ages 5 and 6, had a blast this season learning the game of football, being pushed to their limits and most importantly having FUN.
After their Championship Win, our 6U team played in a Showcase Game featuring the UYFL State Champions (Glen Lea). To celebrate their success, our 6U team had their End of Season Banquet at Swadder's Sports Park. The boys enjoyed access to unlimited Games, Laser Tag, food, fun and trophy presentation. Next season our current 6U boys will play on the 7U Age Level. In addition to our 6U players, we had 5 Lady Skins who were led by their two coaches, Brittany Muller and Haley Loving.
